Nos complace anunciar el Simposio del Premio ACES–Margarita Salas 2025, que tendrá lugar el viernes 24 de octubre de 2025, de 12:00 a 17:00 h, en la Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Lilla Frescativägen 4A, Estocolmo).
Este año el galardón ha sido otorgado al Prof. Sergio M. Vicente-Serrano (Instituto Pirenaico de Ecología, CSIC), reconocido internacionalmente por su trabajo pionero en la variabilidad climática, las sequías y la gestión de los recursos hídricos.
El simposio, titulado Climate Change: Clues from Droughts, Clouds and Deep Time, contará con la conferencia inaugural del Prof. Vicente-Serrano y un mini-simposio con la participación de destacados investigadores en Suecia:
- Prof. Ilona Riipinen (Stockholm University)
- Prof. Lars Eklundh (Lund University)
- Prof. Vivi Vajda (Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet)
El evento concluirá con un espacio de mingling, pensado para fomentar el encuentro entre la comunidad científica y estrechar lazos.

ACES–Margarita Salas Award Symposium 2025
We are pleased to announce the ACES–Margarita Salas Award Symposium 2025, which will take place on Friday, October 24th, 2025, from 12:00 to 17:00, at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Lilla Frescativägen 4A, Stockholm).
This year’s award has been granted to Prof. Sergio M. Vicente-Serrano (Pyrenean Institute of Ecology, CSIC), internationally recognized for his pioneering work on climate variability, droughts, and water resource management.
The symposium, entitled Climate Change: Clues from Droughts, Clouds and Deep Time, will feature an inaugural lecture by Prof. Vicente-Serrano and a mini-symposium with contributions from leading researchers in Sweden:
- Prof. Ilona Riipinen (Stockholm University)
- Prof. Lars Eklundh (Lund University)
- Prof. Vivi Vajda (Swedish Museum of Natural History)
The event will conclude with a mingling session, designed to foster connections within the scientific community and strengthen collaborative ties.
