Este encuentro ofrecerá una ocasión excepcional para:

Prof. Beatriz Roldán Cuenya – Directora del Departamento de Ciencia de Interfases en el Fritz Haber Institute de la Sociedad Max Planck (Berlín). Experta en materiales nanoestructurados para catálisis térmica y electrocatalítica, con aplicaciones en remediación ambiental y conversión energética. Ponencia: «The Secret Life of Catalysts Unveiled by Operando Spectroscopy and Microscopy». Para quienes tengan acceso a El País, resulta de especial interés un reciente artículo en el que Beatriz Roldán Cuenya expone su línea de investigación.
Prof. Lindsay Merte – Profesor asociado de física en la Universidad de Malmö. Su investigación se centra en la estructura y propiedades de superficies sólidas con aplicaciones en catálisis y ciencia de la corrosión. Director de estudios de la escuela de investigación PRISMAS, coordinada por MAX IV.
Dr. Selma Maric – Coordinadora de investigación en MAX IV Laboratories (Universidad de Lund) y Directora de ARI4Sweden. Experta en técnicas avanzadas de rayos X y neutrones aplicadas a materiales y ciencias de la vida.
Prof. Anders Nilsson – Profesor de Física Química en la Universidad de Estocolmo. Referente mundial en el uso de rayos X para estudiar la estructura y dinámica del agua, así como transformaciones químicas de energía. Ponencia: «Chemical Energy Transformations and Catalysis»

Symposium for the ACES-Margarita Salas Award 2024
The Kungliga Vetenskapsakademien (KVA) will host the Symposium of the ACES-Margarita Salas Award 2024 on Thursday, March 20, starting at 1:00 PM.
This event will provide an exceptional opportunity to:
- Explore the KVA and its emblematic Beijersalen.
- Engage in discussions with the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities Secretary General Eva Ortega Paíno.
- Interact with the awardee, Beatriz Roldán Cuenya, as well as the other speakers.

Prof. Beatriz Roldán Cuenya – Director of the Department of Interface Science at the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society (Berlin). Expert in nanostructured materials for thermal and electrocatalytic catalysis, with applications in environmental remediation and energy conversion. Presentation: «The Secret Life of Catalysts Unveiled by Operando Spectroscopy and Microscopy.».
