Desde la Asociación de Científicos Españoles en Suecia (ACES), nos complace anunciar la incorporación de Ingrid Campo Ruiz como nueva integrante de nuestra Junta Directiva, asumiendo el cargo de Vocal de Estocolmo.
Ingrid aporta una visión multidisciplinar y una trayectoria de excelencia internacional a nuestra comunidad. Es arquitecta, investigadora, defensora del medioambiente y artista. Su labor investigadora se sitúa en la intersección entre la arquitectura y la inteligencia artificial (IA), con un enfoque particular en el impacto social, la inclusión y la preservación ambiental.
Trayectoria Científica y Profesional
Ingrid se estableció en Suecia como investigadora postdoctoral bajo el prestigioso programa Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions en el KTH Royal Institute of Technology, donde continúa su labor investigadora actualmente. Asimismo, colabora con RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) y lidera iniciativas propias como el estudio LessWasteArchitecture y el proyecto @equbuild.
Su excelencia académica ha sido reconocida internacionalmente con distinciones como el William Kinne Prize de la Universidad de Columbia y el Primer Premio Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions en Carrera Investigadora. Además, su trabajo ha sido seleccionado por la Comisión Europea para el evento Science is Wonderful! en sus ediciones de 2025 y 2026, y cuenta con publicaciones en revistas de alto impacto como Nature Portfolio.
Es doctora internacional por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ETSAM) y posee un Máster en Ciencias por la Universidad de Columbia (GSAPP) en Nueva York. Su formación también incluye estancias académicas en la Escuela de Arquitectura de Copenhague.
Compromiso con ACES
En su nuevo rol dentro de la Junta Directiva, Ingrid se propone trabajar en los siguientes ejes estratégicos:
- Programa de mentorazgo: Apoyo a investigadores en fases críticas de transición profesional.
- Inclusión e Igualdad: Desarrollo de estrategias para fomentar la diversidad de género y la inclusión social.
- Inteligencia Artificial: Creación de una línea de trabajo específica sobre IA aplicada a la investigación.
Damos una calurosa bienvenida a Ingrid y estamos convencidos de que su experiencia y entusiasmo serán fundamentales para el crecimiento de nuestra asociación en Estocolmo.

New Appointment to the Board of Directors: Stockholm Branch
The Association of Spanish Researchers in Sweden (ACES) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ingrid Campo Ruiz as the new Stockholm Representative on our Board of Directors.
Ingrid brings a multidisciplinary perspective and a record of international excellence to our community. She is an architect, researcher, environmental advocate, and artist. Her research focuses on the intersection of architecture and artificial intelligence (AI), specifically addressing social inclusion and environmental preservation.
Scientific and Professional Background
Ingrid arrived in Sweden as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions postdoctoral researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where she currently serves as a researcher. She also holds a research position at RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) and has founded the architectural firm LessWasteArchitecture as well as the @equbuild project.
Her academic excellence has been internationally recognized with awards such as the William Kinne Prize from Columbia University and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions First Prize in Research Career. Her work has been selected by the European Commission for the Science is Wonderful! exhibition in 2025 and 2026, and she has published in renowned journals including Nature Portfolio.
She holds an International PhD from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ETSAM) and an MSc from Columbia University’s GSAPP in New York. Her academic background also includes studies at the Copenhagen School of Architecture.
Goals within ACES
As a member of the ACES Board, Ingrid aims to contribute to the following strategic areas:
- Mentoring Programme: Supporting researchers during key career transitions.
- Inclusion and Gender Equality: Shaping strategies to promote diversity and equity within the scientific community.
- Artificial Intelligence: Developing a specialized line of work focused on AI for researchers.
